Professional Experience

The David Ireland House at 500 Capp Street
Head Curator
2016 - 2019

Developed twenty contemporary art exhibitions and eleven public programs for The David Ireland House at 500 Capp Street. Created and oversaw all exhibition and public programming texts: for press, social media outreach, newsletters, brochures, and website. Organized and designed artist editions, publications, as well as limited edition posters. Designed booths for all art fairs. Prepared relevant information on artists and upcoming exhibitions for grant applications. Responsible for the completion of all projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Oversaw the institution’s collection of 2,500 artworks, objects, and ephemera. Organized all incoming and outgoing loan agreements. Managed domestic and international shipping. Managed the curatorial department as well as all aspects of the Assistant Curator’s role. Managed gallery assistants, archivist, conservators, and art handlers. Led private tours of the exhibitions for art patrons, art dealers, students, and colleagues from other institutions. Organized exhibition walkthroughs and external research materials for docents. Supported a warm, positive, and respectful work environment.
